OBJECTIVE
CycloMonviso is a project intending to involve the local cross-border communities in the creation and the management of a system for the slow and sustainable fruition of the Monviso area. It envisages the creation of a cross-border bicycle touring circuit and the services related to it, together with training for operators and managers and information and promotion for the users. The general objective of the CycloMonviso project is to build an integrated bicycle tourism offer in the cross-border area, capable of enhancing and promoting the local goods and resources. Three are the specific objectives of the project: to foster and promote sustainable tourism, encourage sustainable mobility and create economic opportunities for the local communities.
ATTIVITA’ PRINCIPALI:
- Establishing the governante structure for CycloMonviso;
- Designing bicycle Touring itineries: the CycloMonviso circuit; - Involvement, traning and creating awareness among the local stakeholders: the operators of the CycloMonviso circuit; - Creating a network of services dedicated to bicycle tourism: bike workshops, bike friendly reception, Sherpa shuttle, bike-guides.
- Creating the CycloMonviso circuit brand.
